In this article it discusses three schoolboys getting arrested while on a trip in Munich. They were in the German City at the time they beat up five random passengers. They had alcohol and marijuana in their systems. One of the boys was given seven years. The other two got 58 and 34 months in prison. The passengers had severe injuries.
This crime that took place in Germany is similar to American crimes. There are always teenagers or young adults feeling the need to start stuff for no reason. They get the pleasure of beating people up who have done nothing to them. It is good they go to court for it and spend some time in jail to make them think a little. Although jail doesn't really teach them anything, they are just spending time away from the outside world.
Seems like Switzerland is not as white and fluffy as they wanted to be themselves portrayed in a world. I remember Swiss newspaper articles when they were at rage against Vitaly Kaloyev, calling him a barbarian, etc. and now this happens and they keep it quiet.
ReplyDeleteI find this article somewhat humorous, because they make 'marijuana' out to be such a dangerous thing. the booze may be a factor, but mary jane didn't make these kids go nuts and start swinging. They do deserve a prison sentence because they are obviously violent, and I am sure this was not their first offense. What strikes me as different is their prison sentence. In America, the juvenile court system is very lenient and forgiving, and crimes committed when under 18 are erased once you become a legal adult. In Germany, these kids will completly miss the prime of their life and be forever tarnished. They made their bed, time to lie in it.
